Masquerades & Massacres

This page is a list of some of our registered characters.
To get added to the list, please send a completed character form to miteyheroes@googlemail.com.

All the information on this page can be considered fairly widely known IC- if you've heard of someone, this is what you've heard.

Social Hierarchy
This list is in Order of Precedence (except for servants, who are put directly below their masters). It is bad form to introduce yourself to someone higher on the list than yourself; you should ask the Master of Ceremonies to do it.
Note that people are placed in their most important category. For example the Duke of Wellington is filed as a Senior Politician not as Nobility or Military.
Also, note that Foreigners are placed at the bottom of their categories and that the Elderly are placed at the top of theirs.
Finally, note that married couples are placed together in their highest category.

Income vs Fortune
The amount of money someone is worth is written next to their name. In most cases, Gentlemen have an income of a certain amount per annum from their careers, estates & investments; whilst Ladies have a lump-sum (generally held by their fathers until his demise or her marriage).

Correct Form Of Address
You should generally address someone by their Title & Surname: e.g. Marchioness Cornwallis, Commodore Fallow, Mr. Kipling
HOWEVER, address any Siblings by their Title & First Name (or use the Surname for the Eldest, First Name for Younger): e.g. Mr Louis-Anton; Lady Sophia
